NEW APPOINTMENTS SYSTEM
Can’t speak to a doctor easily?
Need advice, but can’t get into the surgery easily?
Can’t book in advance?
We listened...
From Tuesday 22 March 2011 Sandhurst surgery will be introducing a new and improved appointments system.
Booking in advance
You can book a ‘Routine appointment’ for morning and afternoons approximately 2 months in advance.
Duty Doctor
Each day we will have a duty doctor dedicated to patients who require immediate medical attention, advice or information either by telephone consultation or urgent appointment (if the doctor feels this is necessary).
Urgent appointments
If you feel you need to be seen by a doctor today, please speak to reception. Reception will either offer you an urgent appointment (if available) or a telephone consultation slot. If your own doctor’s telephone slots are full, you will be offered a telephone slot with the duty doctor for that day.
Home visits
If you feel you require a home visit, please contact reception before 10am and your request will be booked with a GP. Please note that the doctor may telephone you prior to visiting for more information.
Important – In order for us to phone you back to discuss your request for advice or information it is vitally important that we have your correct contact details. Please make sure you give your correct telephone number to reception.
