We currently run extended hours surgeries on alternate weeks at each of our sites from
6.30-7.30pm on Wednesdays when at Owlsmoor and Thursdays when at Sandhurst.
We also have an extended hours surgery on Saturdays, on alternate weeks at each site from
8.30-11.00am.
Appointments for these surgeries are routine, pre-bookable appointments, they are not emergency appointments and our doors are normally locked except to those who have an appointment. They are aimed at patients who are unable to attend for a routine appointment during normal surgery hours. We still have provision each day for acute problems, by way of our URGENT appointment slots for problems which arise on the day and cannot wait until the next day for attention.
There are two GPs on duty on Saturdays at these extended hours surgeries, and one GP and one Practice Nurse on the weekday surgeries until 31st January 2012, when it will revert back to two GPs at Sandhurst but Owlsmoor nurse appointments will continue It may not be your usual GP you see, but the doctor will have access to your medical records on our computer system in order to treat you. You will be asked to go to the staff door at each surgery on arrival and ring the bell, whereby the member of staff on duty will verify who you are and that you have an appointment before allowing you to enter the building.
