NHS England are  recommending that all travellers who develop cough, fever, shortness of breath within 14 days of returning from  China,Thailand, Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia or Macau or have come into contact with someone,  should self-isolate at home immediately and call NHS 111.

It is with much sadness we announce the departure of Dr de Klerk from Sandhurst Group Practice at the end of March 2020

Any of his patients who wish to change GP before the end of March may request to move to Dr Samghabadi who works out of Owlsmoor Wed, Thurs, Fri. 

Those of you who wish to stay with Dr de Klerk until March will be offered an alternative named GP at the time.

Your local A&E is experiencing longer delays than usual, so to help us (and to avoid a long wait) we would ask that you only attend there or call 999 in a serious or life-threatening emergency.

Remember, there is a range of options available to you, including your local pharmacist, NHS111 and 111.nhs.uk.  

As you know self-care is a great way to avoid getting ill in the first place, so keep washing your hands with soap and water, get plenty of sleep, eat and drink healthily, check your medicine cabinet and ensure you have sorted any prescriptions or vaccinations.

 Our Home Visits are now carried out by our Paramedic - he will have ID for checking and will arrive in a normal car.  He has full access to your notes and will be communicating with your Named GP.  Please request a Home Visit through Reception as normal.  The Paramedic may  phone to check your symptoms and the emergency beforehand so make sure we have your correct contact details. 

We no longer offer Travel advice & Clinics. You  will need to go to your local Travel Clinic for this advice or go online to a travel Website such as fit-for-travel 

Some larger Chemists also offer Travel Clinics.

At our recent CQC inspection our rating was 'GOOD' in all areas

  You are able to book appointments online and view your medical records as well as order repeat prescriptions to be delivered straight to the chemist of your choice.  Registration is via our prescription page.  For security reasons we ask you to bring into surgery proof of name and address, plus photo ID.

We have the facility to use the above services to contact you. These may be used to notify you of, for example:

  • Changes to your booked appointment
  • Reminders to attend Annual check -ups
  • National issues such as Flu pandemics
  • Practice being closed due to unforeseen circumstances
  • Cancelled clinics including GP, Nurse and Health Care Assistant
  • Other notifications the practice deem necessary to your health care provision

We are also looking at using SMS text messaging to give you results etc.  please indicate to the Practice staff if you are happy to receive results this way instead of having to phone the surgery.

If you are would like the GP Practice to contact you by this means please make sure we have your up to date Mobile Phone number. Please click on the link below to print off a consent form which can be handed into reception.
