Face covering and mask exemption letters - update July 2021
The Government guidance suggests there is no requirement for evidence for exemption. It should be sufficient for someone to declare that they are eligible for an exemption direct with the person questioning them (e.g. bus driver).
We are therefore not required to provide letters of support for those who fall under the list of exemptions, or to those who do not fall under the list of exemptions.
Please do not ask for for a letter as this will be refused. For further nhs guidance and advice, please see link below:
Face mask exemption NHS guidance 2021
In the best interest of our patients and staff, Sandhurst Group Practice now ask patients coming in to our surgeries (Yorktown Road and Owlsmoor) for whatever reason to;
wear a face mask or face covering of some sort.
If possible please attend alone.
do not attend if you have experienced any COVID symptoms in the previous few days before your appointment.
The link below shows how you can make face coverings from home.
Alternatively you can purchase face masks online.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding
For all appointments, to help the receptionist sign post you, you will be asked to give a short explanation of why you need any appointment. This is to ensure you get to the right person to deal with your problem. If your problem is of a sensitive nature please let the receptionist know that your problem is personal and they will record this for the clinician.
Booking Appointments on Line -
We are though releasing a small amount of telephone bookable appointments online
On-line appointments should be used for Routine only. If in doubt please contact reception.
We regret we can't offer Nursing appointments on-line. Many of Nurses are specialists and not all Nursing staff can offer the same appointments.
Sandhurst Group Practice have replaced our extended hours appointments with e-consults. These take place outside surgery times. If you submit an e-consult the GP may contact you outside normal hours.
We also offer pre-booked face to face appointments every-evening and on a Saturday & Sunday at a Central location in Bracknell close to the Train & Bus Stations. These are bookable through the surgery. Please contact reception for more details.

Telephone appointments are available from a number of sources – doctor, nurse, Pharmascist, Paramedic etc.
It would be helpful if you explain the nature of your query to the receptionist who will then be able to advise you who to contact and when they may be available.
